Driverless vehicles: from technology to policy
PACTS Conference, Wednesday 22nd October at Thatcham Research.
Driverless vehicles: from technology to policy will bring together vehicle technology experts and policy makers to explore how new technologies (driverless, driver assist and others) can best be exploited to reduce crashes, achieve casualty reductions and to improve safety for all road users.
Vehicle demonstrations will include the following technology:
- Queue Assist
- Low Speed Autonomous Emergency Braking (vehicle to vehicle)
- Low Speed Autonomous Emergency Braking (vehicle to pedestrian)
- Reverse Auto Brake
- Self-parking systems
The conference is timely for the Government’s review of regulations for driverless cars and the Transport Select Committee’s Motoring of the future inquiry. Delegates will have the opportunity to view new technologies and to hear and question experts.
