Mr Gifford
There is one factor that you have not mentioned and that, I believe, is the fact that more people now work from home. There are, and in the future, will be government incetives, to make companies cut their carbon emissions. In the Fleet industry, there are more than enough 'Fleet Risk' companies who provide prometric tests and advise that alternative transport modes should be considered, or indeed consider if the journey is necessary by using such aids as 'conference communication'. This works towards company CSR policies and of course sets examples in Occupational Safety.

I am told and fairly sure although that 40% of all accidents happen in the hours of darkness. Check my website and the work I have been doing as I have uncovered and found that with some small improvements that wont be expensive that 40% could be reduced saving injury death with heartache to friends and relatives and money.

The money does not sound important at the moment but if it is saved due to less response to a reduction in accidents then it can suitably be used elsewhere. Cannot do better than that folks.
