PACTS has responded to the Department for Transport’s consultation on e-scooter trials and to the Transport Select Committee’s inquiry into e-scooters. PACTS, with IAM RoadSmart and Brake, wrote (6th May 2020) to Roads Minister Baroness Vere, expressing concerns about aspect of road safety during lockdown, requesting information on road casualty numbers and urging strong support for public transport, walking and cycling as restrictions are lifted. A Westminster Hall Debate on the Safety of All-Lane Running will take place at 11am on Wednesday 22nd January. The debate has been sponsored by Sarah Champion, MP for Rotherham, who has campaigned against all lane running.
