Road Freight Inquiry

The Transport Committee invites written evidence on the major issues affecting the road freight sector with a view to holding an oral evidence session on 3 July 2012.

The Committee is particularly interested in:

- The Government’s approach to road freight and the strategic road network.

- Drivers’ hours rules and compliance.

- Theft and security issues, including how to tackle truck crime.

- Freight interchanges and the place of freight in the National Networks National Policy Statement.

- Winter resilience.

- Fuel prices.
