This year’s Westminster Lecture will be delivered on 16th November 2026 by Phil Jones and Lee Waters, on ‘Adopt or Justify: the case for 20mph from Wales‘. The lecture will be an opportunity to learn how decision makers can follow Wales’ lead on transport reforms.

About the Westminster Lecture
The PACTS Westminster Lecture on Transport Safety is the prestige annual lecture organised by the Parliamentary Advisory Council for Transport Safety (PACTS). It is one of the UK’s longest-running public policy lecture series dedicated specifically to transport safety.
The series began in 1990 and has continued for more than three decades. Over that time it has featured many of the leading figures in transport safety, policy, engineering, academia, and government from both the UK and abroad. The lectures are intended to stimulate discussion on major transport safety challenges and influence evidence-based policy. Previous Westminster Lectures can be accessed here.
