Dr Veneta Vassileva
European Association of Motorcycle Manufacturers (ACEM). Safety Coordinator

Dr Veneta Vassileva is ACEM’s road safety coordinator. In this capacity, she is responsible for coordinating the road safety activities of the association and its members. She also acts as ACEM representative within several bodies including the International Motorcycle Manufacturers Association’s (IMMA) Road Safety Working Group, Vulnerable Road Users Working Group of iMobility Forum, C-ITS platform and GEAR 2030 created by the European Commission.

Dr Vassileva has also coordinated several European research projects including eSUM (European Safer Urban Motorcycling), co-funded by the European Commission.

Under the leadership of Dr. Veneta Vassileva the first IMMA policy document ““The Shared Road to Safety – A global approach for safer motorcycling” was established and largely promoted at international level.

Prior to joining ACEM, Dr Vassileva worked as a Project Manager at the European Red Cross Office, where she was in charge of coordinating the IV European Red Cross Road Safety Campaign which run simultaneously in 20 countries.

Dr. Vassileva worked for more than 12 years in the Bulgarian Red Cross as an expert on health promotion and prevention. In this role she was responsible for managing national health promotion activities in several areas including road safety, blood donation, disaster preparedness and first aid.

Ms Vassileva holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) from Sofia Medical University (Bulgaria).
