The EC is developing a methodology for a common network-wide road safety assessment and a safety rating system for classification of the existing road network in categories, to provide guidance to Member States in accordance to the amendments to Directive 2008/96/EC on Road Infrastructure Safety Management (revised Directive 2019/1936).
The European Transport Safety Council is contributing and PACTS is assisting ETSC.

This part of a wider activities by PACTS assist ETSC in its contribution to the revised Road Infrastructure Safety Directive.
Although the Directive will not apply to Britain, PACTS is pleased to assist and UK may be able to learn and benefit from the process.
