I am delighted to join PACTS as its new Executive Director. I look forward to working closely with our Trustees, Working Parties, and PACTS Members to achieve our shared goals and a safe and equitable transport system.
Firstly, I would like to express my sincere appreciation for the trust and confidence placed in me. PACTS has long been regarded as a respected authority in transport safety, I am humbled to be entrusted with this role and eager to build upon the exceptional work accomplished by my predecessor.
PACTS will continue to be a platform for collaboration and knowledge exchange, bringing together government agencies, parliamentarians, industry leaders, and road, rail, and aviation safety organizations. By leveraging our collective strengths, we will advocate for evidence-based policies, promote sustainable mobility practices, and strive for tangible improvements in transport safety outcomes.
I am keenly aware of the challenges faced in today’s rapidly evolving transport landscape. From emerging technologies to changing mobility models, PACTS work is more critical than ever. I am fully committed to addressing these challenges, embracing new ideas, and fostering an environment where the insights, expertise, and perspectives of our transport community can thrive.
As we move forward, I want to emphasize that PACTS’s success hinges on the collaboration and active involvement of our esteemed community of PACTS members. Together, we can shape policies and promote innovative solutions that enhance transport safety in the UK.
In the coming months PACTS will be meeting the current Transport Minister and their opposition counterpart, holding the Council of members meeting, announcing our October conference, and much more.
I am excited about the journey ahead; together, we will continue to make PACTS a force for change, inspiring safer transport practices and protecting lives across the United Kingdom.
With heartfelt gratitude and anticipation,
Executive Director
