The European Commission has consulted on revisions to the Vehicle General Safety Regulation and the Pedestrian Safety Regulation.
There are 19 specific vehicle safety measures under consideration for the possible update of the General Safety Regulation and the Pedestrian Safety Regulation. The purpose of the stakeholder consultation is ‘to gather stakeholder views on the best means to improve current vehicle safety measures, to complement existing studies in this field.’ The Commission is expected to consult again on its proposed changes in the next few months.
PACTS has made a submission the consultation. You can read the submission in full here.
