Margaret Winchcomb is a Chartered Civil Engineer with passion for transport, focused on people.
Within her role as Deputy Executive Director, Margaret leads the charity’s technical engagement with its over 100 member organisations and delivers on wider aims set out in PACTS strategy. She sits on the Centre for Connected and Autonomous Vehicles Expert Advisory Panel and leads the Safe System Practitioner Network . She also has expertise in the safety of e-scooters and has published three reports. This work resulted in a Prince Michael International Road Safety Award in 2022 and a place as one of ZAG Daily’s 50 mobility changemakers in 2024.
Margaret is a Trustee of the Foundation for Integrated Transport, Fellow of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation, a member of Women in Transport and an active member of her local cycling and walking campaign group.
