The Transport Committee invites written evidence on the major issues affecting the road freight sector with a view to holding an oral evidence session on 3 July 2012.
The Committee is particularly interested in:
– The Government’s approach to road freight and the strategic road network.
– Drivers’ hours rules and compliance.
– Theft and security issues, including how to tackle truck crime.
– Freight interchanges and the place of freight in the National Networks National Policy Statement.
– Winter resilience.
– Fuel prices.
Please send a short summary outlining the issues you feel are most important to the road freight sector by 27 June 2012.
