Nick Croft was an Assistant Chief Constable with South Wales Police. During his career he specialised in roads policing and roads safety. He was the national strategic police led on Intelligent Transportation Systems, developing technology to improve police vehicles, and combating technology-based criminality.
He also led on police fleet procurement and chaired the joint Police/Home Office Roads Policing Enforcement Technology Group (ACPO RPET). This group manages the Home Office Type Approval process for equipment used for enforcement on UK roads.
On retirement from the Police Service, Nick joined Road Safety Support as a Senior Advisor. He is a member of Association for Road Risk Management (ARRM) and has served as Chair of the association’s Council of Management.
