Viscount Simon, Vice-Chairman of the All Party Parliamentary Group for Transport Safety, delivered a speech on roads policing as part of the House of Lords debate on the Queen’s speech this week (27th June).
As part of his speech, Viscount Simon raised the value of road policing, the declining number of officers and the potential of technology within road safety. He also called on the Government to improve Home Office type approvals processes and pressed the government on the growing calls for a road collision investigation branch.
