PACTS has submitted evidence to the Rail Review, announced by the Secretary of State for Transport in September 2018 and chaired by Keith Williams, former Chief Executive of British Airways.
Carolyn Griffiths, former head and founding Chief Inspector of the Rail Accident Investigation Branch and now Chair of the PACTS Rail Safety Working Party commented,
”PACTS is pleased to make a submission to the Rail Review identifying opportunities to further improve the delivery of safety and also the attributes and arrangements PACTS believes should be maintained. The submission also highlights the need to ensure there is no unintended detriment to safety by ensuring carefully planned and collaborative change-management and through validation of the recommendations. PACTS welcomes the opportunity to further contribute to the Review in due course beyond this initial submission”.
