Following the publication of PACTS interim report into the safety of private e-scooters the Executive Director, David Davies, sent a copy to the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State, with a responsibility for the future of transport, Trudy Harrison MP. In the letter the Minister was urged to ensure that any legislation permitting private e-scooter use is based on research into private use and not the trial rental schemes alone.
Trudy Harrison MP replied welcoming PACTS’ contribution to the evidence base the Department of Transport is gathering and inviting her officials to speak with PACTS.
